Description
Tower View, St Michael's Cottage, Stower Cottage, and Unnamed Cottage are four cottages in a row, built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed and squared stone, with large flush quoins on the far right, a slate roof, and brick stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a window arrangement of one, two, and two windows. The far left cottage has a 16-pane sash window in what seems to be an added bay, topped by a hipped end. The remaining cottages have 2-light small-pane glazing bar casements with flush voussoirs. The doors include a plank door between the first and second bays, two doors between the third and fourth bays—one being a 20th-century door with a built-in fanlight and the other a plank door—and a 20th-century part-glazed door on the extreme right. The cottages have a stone plinth of two courses and likely replaced an earlier building. They are important for maintaining the character of the area surrounding the church.
