Description
High House is a house dating from the early 19th century, with a 20th-century addition. It is constructed of coursed, squared limestone and features a 20th-century pantile roof. The building has three storeys and two bays. The central doorway is adorned with plinth blocks, an architrave, and a pediment, and is flanked by unequally-hung 20-pane sash windows beneath thin lintels. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows, while the second floor features unequally-hung 12-pane sash windows, all of which have wooden architraves within the reveals. The roof is hipped and has ashlar end stacks. There is a lower addition on the right that is not of special interest. At the rear, there is a full-height round-arched stair window with projecting impost blocks and a keystone.
