Description

Anston Bridge is a bridge that likely dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone and features a central section with three spans and extended wing walls. The bridge has three round arches, with the central arch being larger than the others, each adorned with keystones. A straight band and coped parapet connect the projecting piers, which have domed caps. The parapets extend as wing walls and end at matching piers, although the north-west end pier is missing. Older Ordnance Survey maps refer to it as Shepherds Bridge.
