Description
Lodge Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Main Street in North Anston. The building is constructed of coursed, square limestone and features a renewed pantile roof. It stands two storeys tall with attics and has five windows on the first floor. There is a wing to the rear right and a rear-left outshut that has been raised and now has a flat roof. The farmhouse has large quoins and a central doorway with a bead-moulded ashlar surround. The flanking windows, which are all walled-up, have square-faced ashlar surrounds with projecting sills. The first-floor openings are similar, featuring flush sills. The eaves have a decorative band, and the shaped kneelers and gable copings have been removed. There are brick stacks at the ends of the building. At the time of resurvey, the farmhouse was unoccupied.
