SP 02 28 WINCHCOMBE GLOUCESTER STREET (south side) 4/100 No 100 and The Annexe 4.7.1960

House with stables or workshop. C17 extended and modified C19. An L-plan building in two parts: service wing or stables faces street, main living block at right angles, in courtyard. Facade to street coursed rubble limestone with stone slate roof, two storeys and attic, with 2 late C20 gabled dormers over two fixed 2-light, 6-pane casements in chamfered surrounds, and blank ground floor, on return gable right, external stair to small plank door under wood lintel at first floor over large flat 4-centred arch with flush voussoirs to garage doors. Beyond this long wing with limestone ashlar ground floor and ashlared rendering above, welsh slate roof to coped gable on kneelers; two storeys, 3 small C19 sashes at first floor over 6-light casement with stone king-mullion with continuous stepped drip to left plank door in 4-centre arched opening as adjacent stable. Interior not seen.
