Description

The gate piers and boundary walls are located on the west side of Bloomfield Road, opposite the main entrances to numbers 110 to 114. They date to the late 18th century and the mid-19th century. The gate piers are a pair of plain square limestone ashlar piers with low, pyramidal cappings on a simple moulding. A boundary wall, approximately 2 metres high with flat coping, runs between the piers. To the left of number 114, the wall is constructed of rough coursed stone with a rough cement capping. Lower boundary walls return at each party division. A longer wall returns to Hensley Road, constructed of good quality limestone ashlar with flat coping. This section is approximately 2.5 metres high and follows the slope of the hill, ramping near the Bloomfield Road end.
