Description
The Hollies is a detached house located on Hatfield Road, built around 1840 with 20th-century additions. It features a limestone ashlar exterior and a concrete tile roof. The building is designed as a hipped villa with a low-pitched roof and includes a lower rear wing adjacent to Wellsway.
The entrance front is symmetrical and has two storeys with three twelve-pane sash windows set in plain reveals, along with a glazed door framed by solid cheeks and topped with a slightly peaked hood. The side facing the churchyard has a single twelve-pane window on each level, while the lower wing contains two four-pane sashes above 20th-century steel casements. A rear eaves stack is present on the main block, and the south gable end features a twelve-pane window at each level, with a lean-to element to the right. The roof was slated at the time of the former listing. The interior has not been inspected.
