Description
This listing describes a pair of small, square, ashlar pavilions that serve as lodges flanking the north driveway to Leeswood Hall. Built in a style featuring tetrastyle Doric pedimented fronts, each lodge is topped with urn and ball finials. The pediments are adorned with finely carved trophies representing the attributes of War and Music. Each lodge has a central doorway with a plain surround and small-pane sash windows on the sides, and both are covered with hipped slate roofs at the rear. There are various 20th-century extensions located behind the lodges, and screen walls extend forward from the outer ends of the lodges to create a shallow forecourt by the roadside.
