Description
The walled garden, which includes stone piers, a cottage, and a vine house, is located east of Leeswood Hall. It features a rectangular layout with red brick walls that are ivy-clad and divided into two parts. The walls have stone cappings, brick pilasters, and stone surrounds for the doorways. At the northeast end, there is a cross wall made of later brick that includes a fine recessed ashlar gatepier, although the urn finial is missing. Opposite this, two similar 18th-century piers flank a symmetrical gardener's cottage, which has twin brick arched doorways that are now blocked.
The cottage is two stories tall with a one-window pedimented front, featuring end pilasters, ashlar cappings, sills, and a band course. The ground floor has arched two-light windows. There is a later brick extension at the rear of the cottage.
A high red brick spur wall extends from the southwest corner, which has lean-to potting sheds on its outer face. Additionally, there is a badly decayed vine house on the southeast face, dating from the early 19th century.
