Description
The kitchen garden walls, including gates and the gardener's cottage, are located immediately south of the stables and riding school and date from 1770. The tall walls are primarily constructed of red brick with stone copings, while some sections, particularly the southern wall overlooking the river terrace, are faced with stone. This southern wall features two pairs of wrought iron gates adorned with heraldic crests above them. The gates are flanked by square sandstone ashlar panelled piers, with the eastern pair topped by large plaster vases. Inside the eastern section of the walled gardens, there is an octagonal single-storey cottage made of brick, which has a low-pitched hipped slate roof and a central brick chimney. The cottage's entrance is marked by a four-centred arched doorway.
