Description
East Lodge is an early 19th century cottage built from sandstone ashlar in the Neo-Tudor style. It features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with stone-coped gabled ends and a low parapet. The building has a plinth and consists of one storey and an attic, with a cross-shaped plan that includes a central gabled cross-wing. On the left side, there is a four-centred arch with a drip mould and a plank door set back in a porch. The slightly projecting gabled cross-wing has a square-headed stone mullion and transom three-light casement window, with a similar two-light window above it, both featuring diamond panes and drip moulds. To the right, there is another two-light casement window. At the rear of the cross-wing, there are two rendered octagonal chimney shafts.
