Description
Kennels House, built around the 18th century, is a red brick cottage situated on a sandstone base. It features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with hipped ends and is square in shape, comprising one storey and an attic. The south elevation has a central door that is sheltered by a lean-to wooden porch with tiles. Flanking the door are two 18th or 19th century two-light casement windows with glazing bars set in cambered headed openings. Above the door, there is a flush gabled dormer with a two-light casement window, and to the right, a smaller flush gabled dormer with a one-light casement window, both also with glazing bars. The building has two brick chimney stacks.
Surrounding the exercise area is a low red brick boundary wall topped with stone copings, featuring brick piers at intervals that have stone caps. At the center of the north side, there is an ashlar gateway with square piers and a rusticated flat arch made of large voussoirs.
