Description
Stonehouse Farmhouse is a 1716 building designed by Francis Smith of Warwick for Lord Leigh. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a moulded eaves cornice and quoins at the corners. The house has a plinth and a steeply pitched plain tile roof with hipped ends, and it is square in plan. The structure has two storeys and an attic, with a five-window facade facing east. There are three steps leading up to a central six-panel door with a fanlight, set within a moulded architrave that includes a keyblock. Flanking the door are two modern cross mullion/transom casements. On the first floor, there are five modern cross mullion casements. The roof features two gabled dormers, each with two-light casements that have glazing bars. Additionally, there are two square brick chimney stacks.
