Description
Nos. 4 and 5 in Stareton Village are a pair of cottages dating from around the 17th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and have red brick infill panels. The cottages feature a steeply pitched roof covered in plain tiles with gabled ends, and the north gable faces the road. The buildings are two storeys high and have a three-window range. On the west elevation, there are two plank doors and three three-light casement windows, two of which date from the 18th or 19th century and have glazing bars. On the first floor, there are two 18th or 19th century three-light casements with glazing bars and one modern central three-light casement without glazing bars. The cottages also have three brick chimney stacks.
