Description
The garden walls and gate piers to Barton Mere House date from the late 18th century to early 19th century. They are constructed of red brick with stone details on the piers. The structure includes three sections of high brick wall. On the left, there is a remaining wall from a demolished outbuilding, featuring a slightly projecting central section, rusticated quoins, and two blocked openings. On the right, there is a boundary wall divided into two sections by low wrought iron garden gates, with an additional stretch of wall at right angles along the side of the garden. There are three tall square brick piers with corbelled stone caps and ball finials, positioned one on each side of the entry and one at the right-hand corner of the garden.
