Locko Park Lodges

Locko Park Lodges are a pair of identical lodges with attached gates, built in the late 18th century. They are constructed of ashlar stone and topped with hipped Welsh slate roofs, featuring lateral brick stacks. The lodges are single storey and square in plan, each with differing additional wings at the rear. Continuous impost bands run around three sides of the buildings, which also have a moulded cornice and a blocking course.

The front elevations facing the drive include an advanced pedimented bay with a blind round arch, within which is a round-arched doorway that has a panelled door and an overlight. Both the north and south elevations feature a similar design with a round-arched window that has a glazing bar sash, set within a larger blind round arch. The rear extensions are cement rendered and maintain a simpler but similar style.

Between the two lodges, there are wrought iron gates that consist of two pedestrian gates, square openwork gate piers with latticework sides and pyramidal tops, along with a pair of main gates.
