Stable block to north of Locko Park

The stable block located to the north of Locko Park dates from the mid to late 19th century and likely incorporates parts of an earlier structure. It is built from red and yellow brick with gritstone dressings and features hipped Welsh slate roofs with various ridge stacks. The building forms a U-shape around a courtyard to the south, which is enclosed by a low wall that sharply rises to an ashlar entrance archway. This archway has a keyed round shape, ball finials, and a sculpture of a hen at its center.

Inside the courtyard, the west range includes three segmental arched entrances leading to the coach houses, along with a lean-to glazed canopy. The north range features two doorways with quoined jambs and flat arches, and four 19th-century sash windows with flat stone surrounds. Above, there are three two-light plain mullioned windows and three blind windows. The east range contains a carriage entrance and a doorway flanked by 19th-century sashes in stone surrounds, with three two-light windows above. A tall bell-turret, slate hung with a concave pyramidal top, adds to the structure's character. There is also a further wing attached to the west, which has round-headed doorways and a window with a basket arch.
