Description

The Old School is a school building constructed around 1900. It is made of red brick with ashlar dressings and features slate roofs, with the central hall topped by a square wooden cupola. The main south front has a large gabled central hall that includes a round-headed window with six lights, featuring small pane glazing bar casements and a moulded brick hood. On either side of the hall are tall single-light windows, also with small pane glazing bar casements. Further to each side are two octagonal projections with hipped roofs, each containing a single-light window on their south face, again with small pane glazing bar casements. Set back beyond these projections are classroom blocks, each with a single four-light window featuring small pane glazing bar casements.
