Description

No. 9 Market Street is a 17th-century house that has been altered. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubblestone and features a steeply pitched gabled roof covered with machine tiles. There is a stone stack at the south end, topped with a reconstituted cap. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range. It includes two gabled dormers with four-pane glazing, while the remaining windows are all 20th-century top-lit small pane casements, situated beneath dressed stone lintels on the ground floor. The central door has reeded panels and two rectangular glazed panes.
