Description

No. 6 Market Street is a house from the 17th century that has been altered. It is built of coursed and squared rubble stone, with dressed quoins at the south end. The roof is gabled and covered with machine tiles, featuring end brick stacks. The house has two storeys and a two-window range. The upper floor windows are large pane sashes, while the ground floor has 20th-century glazed bow windows set in deep reveals. There is a central 20th-century plank and batten door with one glazed panel, topped by a flat hood supported by cut scroll brackets. Additionally, there is another doorway to the right-hand side that leads to an alley.
