Description
This building, known as F Sole Butcher, is a shop located on Market Street in Chipping Norton. It dates back to the 17th century and has been altered. The structure is made of rubble stone and limewashed stucco, topped with a gabled tiled roof that features a stone stack with a brick cap at the north end. The building stands two storeys tall with an attic and has one window range.
On the upper floor, there is a two-light casement window in a gabled dormer, along with a canted glazed 19th-century bay window that has side casements. The shop front includes a similar, slightly larger bay window with a moulded wood cornice above, displaying the proprietor's name. To the left of the shop front, there is a 20th-century door situated beneath a flat hood supported by cut scroll brackets.
