Description
This building, known as Georgian House Antiques, is a former house that has been converted into a shop. It has its origins in the 17th century but underwent alterations in the 19th century. The structure is made of coursed and squared rubble stone, topped with a gabled machine-tiled roof and features a moulded stone stack with a brick cap at the south end.
The building stands two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window range. The upper floor includes three 6-pane, 2-light casements in the dormers along the eaves line, and two 6-pane tripartite sashes flanking a single sash, all of which are set under wooden lintels. On the ground floor, there are two canted 19th-century shop front bays, each with dentil cornices, positioned on either side of a 20th-century plank and batten door. This door is set within an 1820s doorcase that features reeded joints and stopped roundels.
