Description
West End Garage is a former house that has been converted into a garage. It has a core dating back to the 17th century and was refronted in the early 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed and squared rubblestone and features a gabled slate roof with end brick stacks, the southern stack resting on a moulded stone base. A plain projecting ashlar cornice adds to its architectural detail. The structure stands three storeys tall and has a three-window range. The upper two floors have large pane sashes, while the first floor windows are distinguished by their keyed heads. The ground floor has been remodelled for garage use. This building is included for its group value.
