Description
No 9, West Street is a house with a core dating from the 17th century that was refronted in the early 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar and features a gabled stone tiled roof, with a moulded stone stack at the south end capped in brick. The building has two storeys plus an attic and a basement, and it presents a four-window range, which includes a first-floor band and an ogee bracketed wood cornice. There are two dormers with six-pane casements in the roof, while the remaining windows are twelve-pane sashes that feature exaggerated flush keystones. To the left-hand bay, there is a carriage entrance with a large tripartite keystone.
