Description
The Craft Centre and Wool Shop is a shop located in Chipping Norton, dating from around 1730. It is constructed of ashlar with stressed quoins and features a gabled stone tiled roof with end stone stacks, one of which has a brick cap. The building has banded pilasters at the corners, a moulded eaves cornice, and a plain parapet above. It is three storeys tall with an attic and has a four-window range. There is a 19th-century bargeboarded dormer, while the other windows are large pane sashes with eared architraves and projecting keystones. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front. Inside, there is an 18th-century staircase with twisted stem balusters and moulded newel posts.
