Description

Hartwells is a shop located on Chipping Norton High Street, dating from the 18th century. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and features a gabled slate roof with end brick stacks. It has a moulded cornice topped by a plain parapet course. At the north end, one pilaster remains, while the other was removed during the rebuilding of the adjacent house. The building has three storeys and three bays, with a recessed sash window that has 9 panes on the top floor and 12 panes on the first floor. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front.
