Description
No. 8 New Street is a house and shop located in a row of buildings in Chipping Norton. It was rebuilt in the mid-19th century and features a plastered front with a low-pitched slate roof and brick chimneys. The building has three storeys and includes two wide, full-height angled bays beneath projecting eaves, with windows arranged in a 1:2:1 pattern. There is a shop front dating from around 1900, which has a projecting design with brackets and a wide sloping fascia. A datestone from 1687, which has been reset, is located in the center of the first floor. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
