Description

No. 10 Market Street is a 17th-century house that has been altered. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble stone and features a gabled roof covered with machine tiles. The house has a stone stack with a reconstituted cap at the north end and a brick stack at the south end. It stands two storeys high and has a two-window range. The upper floor has 16-pane sash windows set under wooden lintels, while the lower floor features canted bays with machine tiled roofs and 12-pane sash windows. The central door, dating from the 19th century, has reeded panels and two rectangular lights, all sheltered by a machine tiled porch.
