Description

AIREBOROUGH HAWKSWORTH LANE SE 14 SE LS 20 (south side) Guiseley 4/53 Lane Side Farmhouse - GV II

Farmhouse, now house. Early to mid-C18. Coursed squared sandstone with quoins (now strap-pointed), stone slate roof. Rectangular double-depth plan. Two storeys and 2 bays, symmetrical central doorway with plain surround, panelled door (recessed); two 3-light windows on each floor, all with flat- faced flush mullions and plain surrounds. Gable chimneys, gable copings with kneelers. Left gable wall has blocked doorway at 1st floor (taking-in door?); rear has 2-light windows otherwise like those at front.

Interior: central passage formed by insertion of partition wall into formerly larger principal room on left; fielded panel doors; chamfered oak beam in rear service rooms.
