Description
The building is a late 18th-century farm terrace located to the north of No. 7 Slaithwaite Hall. It features hammer-dressed stone and coursed rubble construction, with some quoins and a pitched stone slate roof with coped gables. There is one moulded footstone.
The southeast elevation has two storeys. On the ground floor, there are three entrances with stone surrounds, a recessed 5-light stone mullioned window, a 3-light stone mullioned window, and a single light window, along with a small single light and another single light at an intermediate level. The first floor includes two recessed 3-light stone mullioned windows and two recessed 2-light stone mullioned windows, although one mullion has been removed. The northern part of the building is set back, featuring altered ground floor openings and a 4-light stone mullioned window on the first floor.
The northwest elevation has an extension with a catslide roof to the south and a large later opening. The ground floor shows various former extensions that have been removed, with one doorway, two blocked 2-light stone mullioned windows, and three single light windows. The first floor has four 2-light stone mullioned windows, one of which is partially blocked, along with one single light window. There is also a lean-to extension on the northeast gable.
