Description
9 Bents Lane is a late 18th century to early 19th century house and barn combined in one range. It is constructed of hammer dressed stone and features a pitched stone slate roof, with part of it covered in bitumen. The building has a coped gable and moulded footstones.
The house has two storeys. On the east elevation, the ground floor is obscured, while the first floor has one six-light stone mullioned window. The west elevation has one single light window on the ground floor and two two-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor.
The barn also has two storeys. On the east elevation, the ground floor features one arched doorway with a raised keystone, although this is largely obscured. Above the door, there is a window with a semicircular false arch. The west elevation has two doors with stone surrounds on the ground floor and one two-light stone mullioned window on the first floor.
