Description

Ivy Mount is a late 18th-century building located on Church Street in Slaithwaite. It is constructed from hammer-dressed stone and features quoins with chisel markings. The roof is pitched and covered with slate, having a coped gable on the east side. To the west, there is a large mounded footstone. The building has two storeys.

On the south elevation, the ground floor includes a central doorway that has been extended to form a small fanlight, which is surrounded by stone and has tie-stones. There is one six-light stone mullioned window, from which two mullions have been removed, and one four-light stone mullioned window, with one mullion also removed; both windows have been extended downwards. The first floor features three four-light windows with recessed mullions.
