Description
The Shoulder of Mutton is a building dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with some parts rendered, and features a double-pitched stone slate roof. The building has two storeys.
On the south elevation, which is rendered, there is a central doorway on the ground floor, flanked by two five-light stone mullioned windows and one single light window, which may have been added later. The first floor contains one two-light stone mullioned window, one three-light stone mullioned window, and two four-light stone mullioned windows.
The north elevation has a back-to-earth northeast corner of later origin, and the first floor features three recessed three-light stone mullioned windows.
