Description

This is an early 19th-century terrace of three houses, located on Royd Street in Slaithwaite, with later 19th and early 20th-century alterations. The buildings are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof and stone brackets supporting the gutter. They are three storeys in height.

The south elevation of No. 129 features a doorway with a stone surround. The ground floor also contains a single two-light window (a later replacement). The first floor has a single-light window (also later) and a two-light window (later). The second floor has a single-light window and a two-light window, both blocked. The north elevation of No. 129 has a two-light stone mullioned window and a single-light window to the ground floor. The first floor has a six-light stone mullioned window, with two lights blocked and two mullions removed, now featuring modern casements. The second floor has a six-light stone mullioned window.

Numbers 131 and 133 on the south elevation have two doorways with stone surrounds to the ground floor, alongside a three-light stone mullioned window and a two-light stone mullioned window (later). The first floor has a two-light and a three-light stone mullioned window, together with a large two-light window (later). The second floor has a two-light and a three-light stone mullioned window. The north elevation of numbers 131 and 133 shows a nine-light stone mullioned window on each of the three floors.
