Description

A mid-19th century mill constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof, coping to the west gable, and a chimney to the west gable. The building is four storeys high, reducing to three storeys on the north side. The south elevation features eight bays of industrial casements on each floor. The east gable has a central loading door to each floor, with a small access door to a higher attic level. The lower two loading doors are surrounded by stone with pronounced sills. Flanking these are single bays of industrial casements, with two upper floors blocked on the north side. The north elevation's attic level features six bays of two-light stone mullioned windows, linked by a continuous stone band acting as lintels. One single light and one loading door are present at each end, with stone surrounds; a later door is situated to the west. The lower floors on the north side also have six two-light stone mullioned windows, and two single lights each. The west gable has two bays with industrial casements on each floor, and an iron fire escape on each floor.
