Description

This is an early to mid-19th century terrace, likely dating from around 1840, situated on Radcliffe Road in Slaithwaite. The terrace is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and has a pitched roof covered with stone slate, now bitumenised. The terrace is two storeys high, with the rear ground floor level being at ground level.

The south elevation has a ground floor with three entrances, each with a stone surround. There are two later single-light windows and one three-light stone mullioned window, notable for its pronounced sill. Two further four-light stone mullioned windows are also present, again with pronounced sills. The first floor has one eight-light stone mullioned window to each property, each also featuring a pronounced sill. The north elevation of each dwelling has an entrance with a stone surround and a single four-light stone mullioned window with a pronounced sill.
