Description
Nos 56 and 57 Simon Green are a pair of mid-19th century terraced weavers' houses. They are built of hammer-dressed stone with quoins on the north side and feature a pitched stone slate roof. The houses are two storeys tall. On the south elevation, No 57 has a ground floor entrance that is partially blocked and one four-light stone mullioned window. No 56 is currently undergoing alterations. On the first floor of both houses, there is one eight-light stone mullioned window each, with a continuous pronounced sill band. The north elevation includes one three-light stone mullioned window on the ground floor and two three-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor.
