Description
Westwood Christian Centre, formerly known as Westwood Mission Church, is a late 19th-century church constructed of hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings and rusticated quoins. It features a pitched slate roof with gable copings on moulded footstones. Stone brackets on a slender string course support the gutter. The building has a five-bay nave with a south porch that includes a side entrance, and four large pointed arched windows adorned with Y-tracery and diamond glazing. There is only one window on the north elevation. The large lower chancel has a single window similar to those on the nave, which contains stained glass. The east window consists of three lancet lights, also with stained glass. A caretaker's flat is located in the basement at the west end. The interior has not been inspected.
