Description

A mid-19th century terrace of four weavers' houses stands on Slades Road, Bolster Moor. The houses are built of hammer-dressed stone, with a pitched stone slate roof now covered in bitumen, and have coped gables featuring stone brackets. They are three storeys high. The south elevation has modern porches over the four ground-floor entrances. The ground floor also has one four-light stone mullioned window to each house. The first floor has one eight-light stone mullioned window and three seven-light stone mullioned windows, with one of these seven-light windows having two lights blocked. The second floor features three seven-light mullioned windows, one of which has had one mullion removed, and one eight-light stone mullioned window. The north elevation has various one and two-storey lean-to extensions and six two-light stone mullioned windows, three of which have had their mullions removed.
