Description
This building on Radcliffe Road is a pair of weavers' houses dating from 1797, as indicated by a datestone. The houses are constructed from hammer-dressed stone, with the east gable rendered. They feature a pitched stone slate roof and have moulded footstones on the west gable, along with two gable stacks. The structure is three storeys tall, with the ground floor set back to earth.
On the south elevation, the ground floor has two entrances, each with a stone surround and tie-stones. There are also two former 6-light stone mullioned windows, although alternate mullions have been removed. The first floor contains one 8-light stone mullioned window with some replaced mullions and another 8-light window with alternate mullions removed. The datestone is centrally located below the first-floor windows and reads 'W.I.M., 1797'. The second floor has two 8-light stone mullioned windows, one of which has two lights blocked, while the other has some replaced mullions. Additionally, the east gable features a single-storey later extension.
