Description
Hill Top is a 17th-century building that has undergone early to mid-19th century alterations, along with some modern changes and extensions. The structure is made of coursed rubble, which has been recently re-pointed, and features a pitched stone slate roof with a coped gable on the east side.
The building has two storeys. On the south elevation, the ground floor showcases a former 8-light double chamfered millstone grit stone mullioned window, which includes a large king mullion and decorative drip mouldings with stops. The end three lights of this window have been enlarged to create a modern doorway within a porch. There is likely a former doorway to the right that is now obscured by a recent window. The first floor features an 11-light stone mullioned window from the early to mid-19th century.
On the north elevation, there is a lean-to extension with a catslide roof. The east gable has buttressing, and possible former windows that have all been blocked.
