Description
The Wesleyan Methodist Sunday School, built in 1878, is a two-storey structure made of rock-faced stone with rusticated quoins and a slate roof. The north elevation features a symmetrical three-bay facade topped with a pediment gable. On the ground floor, there is a door with a fanlight, flanked by plain pilasters, a full entablature, and a blocking course, along with two single light windows. The first floor has three semi-circular arched windows with imposts and a keystone, and there is a moulded string course above the first floor. An inscription in the gable apex reads: 'Wesleyan School 18 1' (with the third digit not visible). Above this inscription is a quatrefoil opening surrounded by stone. The east and west elevations each have six round arched windows on the first floor.
