Description

7 Miles Post is a late 19th-century structure located on Manchester Road in Linthwaite. It features a cast iron plate that is affixed to a stone post with a rounded top. The plate displays an inscription indicating the distances to various locations: "WAKEFIELD & AUSTERLANDS ROAD MARSDEN OLDHAM 10½ MILES HUDDERSFIELD 7 MILES." Additionally, in smaller letters, it notes "BRAYSHAW & BOOTH MAKERS LIVERSEDGE."
