Description

Ingfield House is an early to mid-19th century building, originally the 'British Queen' public house. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone, with the south elevation rendered. The roof is of stone slate, featuring coped gables and a moulded eaves cornice with a blocking course. There are two ashlar stacks. The south elevation has a door with a plain surround, entablature, and pediment, and five bays of windows, some with ashlar detailing. A continuous sill band runs along the first floor. The east elevation features a four-panelled door with a fanlight and full entablature, a vertical window to the landing, and a Venetian window to the attic.
