Description
No. 3 Town Gate is an early to mid 19th-century house that is part of a row of buildings. It features hammer-dressed stone with quoins and has a pitched stone slate roof topped with an ashlar stack and moulded stone brackets. The house is two storeys high.
On the south elevation, the ground floor has a doorway with a stone surround and tie-stones, which is partially blocked, and another doorway with a stone surround. There is also one three-light stone mullioned window. The first floor has one five-light stone mullioned window.
The north elevation includes a ground floor doorway with stone surrounds and tie-stones, along with two single-light windows that also have stone surrounds. The first floor features two single-light windows with stone surrounds. This building is included for its group value.
