Description

4 Miles Post is a late 19th-century structure located on Manchester Road in Linthwaite. It features a cast iron plate affixed to a stone post with a rounded top. The plate bears the inscription: "WAKEFIELD & AUSTERLANDS ROAD LINTHWAITE OLDHAM 13½ MILES HUDDERSFIELD 4 MILES." Additionally, in smaller letters, it states: "BRAYSHAW & BOOTH MAKERS LIVERSEDGE."
