Description

The 3 Miles Post is a 19th-century milestone located on Manchester Road in Linthwaite. It features a cast iron plate affixed to a stone post with a rounded top. The plate is inscribed with the following text: "WAKEFIELD & AUSTERLANDS ROAD LINTHWAITE OLDHAM 14½ MILES HUDDERSFIELD 3 MILES." Additionally, in smaller letters, it reads: "BRAYSHAW & BOOTH MAKERS LIVERSEDGE."
