Description
Nos 58 and 60 on Ramsden Mill Lane are two houses built in the late 18th to early 19th century, forming part of a row. They are constructed from narrow coursed hammer dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof with a cast iron gutter supported by iron brackets. The buildings are two storeys high.
On the southeast elevation, No 58 has a ground floor with a doorway that has a stone surround and tie-stones, leading to a four-panelled door topped with a glazed fanlight. There is also a recessed 5-light stone mullioned window. The first floor features a 7-light stone mullioned window. No 60 has a ground floor with a doorway that also has a stone surround, alongside a recessed 3-light stone mullioned window. The first floor includes a 6-light stone mullioned window with recessed mullions.
On the northwest elevation, No 58 has a ground floor with a recessed 2-light stone mullioned window and a first floor with another recessed 2-light stone mullioned window, as well as one opening with a concrete sill. No 60 features a ground floor with a 2-light window that has a large stone mullion and a first floor with a 5-light stone mullioned window.
