Description
No. 2 Delves Gate is a late 18th-century detached house. The western part of the building has been rebuilt. It features thinly coursed hammer-dressed stone, with some parts rendered, and has quoins. The roof is pitched and covered with stone slate, and there are footstones present. The house is two storeys high.
On the south elevation, the ground floor includes a modern porch with a former 2-light stone mullioned window, along with one 6-light stone mullioned window. The first floor has one 4-light stone mullioned window and two 4-light stone mullioned windows, although the central light of what was originally a 9-light window has been blocked.
The east gable is rendered and has two 2-light stone mullioned windows on the ground floor. The north elevation features a recent lean-to extension on the ground floor that includes two 3-light stone mullion windows. The rebuilt western part of the building has one 4-light stone mullioned window on the ground floor and one 4-light stone mullioned window on the first floor. Additionally, the north elevation has one 3-light stone mullioned window.
