Description
Hey Gate is a late 18th century building, with some parts rebuilt. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone, featuring quoins on the northeast gable, which is partly rendered. The building has a pitched stone slate roof and stands two storeys tall.
On the southeast elevation, the ground floor includes one five-light stone mullioned window that is recessed, a former five-light stone mullioned window that has been converted into a doorway with stone surrounds, one two-light stone mullioned window, and one single light window. There are also two recessed two-light stone mullioned windows, one of which was originally a doorway. The first floor has five three-light stone mullioned windows.
The northeast gable features a later doorway with a stone surround and a later single light window, also with a stone surround.
